Welcome to new Chamber member, Islesford Dock Restaurant and Gallery!

Welcome to new Chamber member, Islesford Dock Restaurant and Gallery!

We are excited to welcome new owner Michael Boland and the Islesford Dock Restaurant and Gallery. An institution for many years, it is wonderful to see the restaurant coming back to life. Planned opening day is June 1st.

Boland says that they intend to keep the restaurant largely the same as it has been since the Liefs began operating the restaurant in 1993. The menu will be decided soon, but Boland expects to keep many of the same items, along with a few new dishes.

“We plan to provide good jobs to local residents and purchase as much as possible from local or Maine-based vendors, which will help us achieve our goal of serving our customers great food and beverages in a unique setting,”

Emily Damon, from 151 Main Street and Watermark, has agreed to take the helm in the kitchen and will be the Executive Chef. Along with her will be several key returning kitchen folks, along with new Sous Chef Ian Merchant.

"You'll find the same moss covered shingles, spider webs and rustic charm, but we have made some significant if low key changes to the interior. Bigger bar, higher floor, enclosed porch room, updated restrooms, a few more seats, etc. etc. - come out and see for yourself!"
