2014  Stewart Garden Tour Saturday,  May 31st & June 7th Please join Harbor House in enjoying the beautiful perennial plantings and spectacular blooms of spring in one of the premier gardens on Mount Desert Island. The event will be held at WatersEdge, 32 Sargeant Dr. Northeast Harbor Gates will be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm with the estate closing at3:30pm.  Take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the blooms of Dogwood, Rhododendrons, Azalea, Lilly of the Valley, and much more! Take in the beautiful and expansive views across Somes Sound to the mountains of Acadia National Park. This tour is the perfect way to welcome spring and a great reason to visit Mount Desert Island! The suggested donation for the event is $15.00 per person. All proceeds from the tour will go towards Harbor House programming and the services that it offers to the residents of Mount Desert Island. Local artist Mike Duffy created the stunning painting for this year's tour and 11x14 photos of the painting will be available for purchase at the event. The original painting will be available to bid on during the Silent Auction at "Lobsters on the Sound" on Tuesday August 5th at the Hinckley Company in Southwest Harbor.   Touch A Truck    Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the  Bar Harbor Hancock County Airport from 10am - 2pm. $5/person $20/family Infants FREE! All proceeds benefit Harbor House Children's Center and the Westside Food Pantry Fun for the whole family! Come see the inside and outside of more than 60 vehicles! Earthmovers, excavators, diggers, rescue vehicles, fire trucks, 18-wheeler, limousine, ambulance, snow plow, cherry picker, dump truck, bulldozer and many more humongous vehicles!  Lunch by Maine-ly Meats, Mount Desert Island Ice Cream, drinks and popcorn! LIVE Broadcast by 97.7 WNSX Youth Sports    Don't forget that T-Ball starts Saturday May 3rd at 9am. Children's Center  Don't forget to register your kids for Scamper Camp!  We will be having lots of fun this summer with field trips, swimming, yoga, theater, hikes and much more. Children from age 3 through first grade can join in on 9 fun-filled weeks of Scamper Camp.  With our preschool teachers at the core of our summer program, you get years of knowledge and experience, a real love of working with children PLUS the extra fun of summer!  Earlier and later hours are available for local families at no additional charge.  Stop by the Children's Center or Main Street to get a registration form, or download one from our website  www.harborhousemdi.org.     Join us for Scamper Camp ~ the way summer should be! Health & Fitness    The Reiki clinic is back! Wednesdays 6-8pm. $10 per half hour treatment.  Reiki is a hands on energy healing modality that supports the body's natural ability to heal.  Is is totally safe and non-invasive.
