Mount Desert Island
Hospital has once again been recognized as a Best Overall Performer
for patient satisfaction by Avatar International, a
nationally recognized hospital patient consulting firm. This award
gives MDI Hospital the distinction of being the only hospital in the
nation to earn the Overall Best Performer Award for service
excellence and quality patient
satisfaction for 14 consecutive years. The award is earned by scoring
in the top five percent in the nation in patient surveys conducted by
Avatar.

award not only reflects the consistently excellent quality of care
throughout the organization, but the outstanding quality of care
